Blues Match was started 5 years ago by an Oxford graduate to spread the social net wider than the same group of College friends he had been seeing year in and year out. Surely there must have been other people in the same boat....
Blues Match will give you the opportunity to meet new friends, form social groups, attend Blues Match events and even get married.

Blues Match has been featured in articles in the Times Literary supplement, Oxford Today and the Financial Times. Some testimonials are also listed below:

"I just wanted to let you know, that despite my initial technical  inability, I have become engaged to someone I met through your site! His entry was the first or perhaps the second sent to me and because it was so  'chatty', amusing and informative, I replied  back.  We wrote to each other for about 2 months, between travelling far and wide, before we finally met and then it was just like meeting an old friend.  I didn't tell anybody I was meeting him as I thought a few of my girl friends would 'line the wall' but I was almost tempted to leave a note in my house saying "if I don't return or am found in a tin of dog food, I was last seen with this man"....  I would NEVER have imagined that I would meet someone over the internet and I suppose it is all the more remarkable as he was the only person I corresponded with!  My friends now refer to me as a 'button bride' and are over the moon about it!  - Well...must shut up! but thank you for your BRILLIANT idea to set it up - a lot of my single girl friends who weren't at Oxbridge are extremely envious.."
"Dear Blues Match, I'm replying to the email not because I'm unhappy about the message in any way, but because I think I should get you to take my message off the site as I'm getting married soon to someone I met through your good offices. Obviously, I'm extremely grateful, and I'm recommending you to everyone! Many thanks."
"Dear Blues Match: I would like you to take me off your list, as the relationship that began through you is a lasting one. We both feel grateful to your excellent service - thank you!"

"Hi there, I just thought that you might like to know that I got engaged on Friday to the first and only person I ever met through Blues Match.
Emma (an Oxford gal) was the first person I'd ever met through any kind of internet dating and she's amazing. Therefore, just over a year after meeting her I proposed on Good Friday and she said yes. That, on top of Cambridge winning the boat race, has made for a very happy weekend. Anyway, many thanks for your excellent service. I hope it goes from strength to strength."

"You are I'm afraid a victim of your own success. I have met through BM a most delightful woman. Thank you. I think you are great."
"Well - I have found the most amazing man on your site but it's still early days so don't want to go overboard on the celebrations yet... I think I met him due to a glitch in the system actually - he wrote to me thanking me for the dinner invite, but I hadn't invited him to a dinner (or maybe I'd pressed the dinner thing by mistake?!) (Or maybe you send random dinner invites to promote this sort of random pairing!) Anyway, we decided to organise a dinner and then another one - both hilarious occasions which ended in dancing till 5am. And then got it together. Most strange. Anyway, we're off for a long weekend this Friday, and then for two weeks later.. "
"And thank you - it's a GREAT service - met loads of nice people, one of them helped us out at a gig last Saturday at extremely short notice and basically saved us."
"I would like to cancel my membership of Blues Match. My reason for leaving is that I am to be married - to a girl I met through the site. So it works then!"
